Combining the two coziest things in the world – pillows and fur – we can present you here the super hero against stress. Lean back and enjoy relaxing hours in your home, let your fingers feel the unique texture and forget everything around you. Get lost in a good book or TV series without getting the payback from your neck or your back after hours of staying in a half-comfortable position. Give yourself an always present cuddle partner that keeps you warm and comfortable and make the best out of your quality time at home.
Our fur pillows are only made out of real fur of high quality. That means it will stay in its original shape for a long time and keep your back warm while you lean on it. You can recognize our premium sheepskin by its shiny and thick wool. Fur is an amazing product of nature that has unique characteristics we can profit from. It keeps itself clean without any care due to its natural texture. It keeps the warmth better and longer then pillows of other fabric and its stunning optical appearance does not change even after years of use.
Which are your fur pillows with sheepskin?
You can find our pillows covered in fur from all over the world and from animals of different kind. Cozy sheepskin serves people who like to cuddle with their pillows or just like the look of the shiny and sometimes curly woolen fur. Our sheepskins come mainly from New Zealand, Tibet and Iceland but also from England, Austria and Sweden. The same way they vary in their origin they also differ from each other in their looks. Sheepskins from Tibet, Austria and Sweden are curly, while English and Icelandic sheepskins have straight wool. Sheepskins from New Zealand vary in their length and structure. Long wool sheepskin is straight and short wool sheepskin has tiny curls. Also the Icelandic skins are available in a short and long wool version which changes the natural color shades in a charming way.
If you like natural and earthy colors you will love the Icelandic sheepskins in their individual grey, brown or spotted versions. If you dream of a spotted sheepskin with curly hair, take a look at the Austrian sheepskins, whereas the exquisite Gotland sheepskins from Sweden impress with their elegant grey curls. Charming curly wool in an endless variety of classic or trendy colors can you find in the Tibetan sheepskins. Also dyed are the New Zealand sheepskins, except for the natural white version.
What other fur pillows do you offer?
Additionally to our selection of sheepskin pillows, we have pillows covered in Brazilian cow hide, South American alpaca, South African zebra and Tibetan goat. The optical appearance and texture of alpaca fur is similar to the long wool sheepskin from New Zealand. Of course, there are differences in the quality and the natural golden color of alpaca is not replaceable. Cow hide, zebra skin and Tibetan goat skin are all very different from sheepskin both in their look and in the feeling their texture gives. Their hair is very short and lies flat on the skin which gives an incredible feeling. Even more stunning is the entanglement of colors and shades the skins display. The natural and rustic look brings unique charm into your home and can let you dream of far distant countries and landscapes.
What else do I need to know about your fur pillows?
All the pillows are sewed out of one piece except for the cow hide pillow with its special mosaic style. You can choose between different sizes and shapes to get the perfect pillow for your favorite spot at home. The fur covers have a zipper so the filling pillow – which is included in the price – can be taken out, if necessary. Pillows with a one-sided fur pillowcase are covered with a cotton fabric on the backside. None of the pillows need more care then being shaken out regularly. Only the skins with long wool can be brushed from time to time if they are not curly. They must never be washed in the machine since that would be harmful for the leather.
What are your ethical considerations?
No matter if sheep, goat or zebra, all of our fur is a by-product of the local meat production. Hence none of the animals was killed only to get its fur. Their rarity explains some of the products’ prices as for instance the South African Zebra is seldom to get under those conditions. From the first to the last step of the fur pillow’s production we take care of all sustainability aspects to underline the responsibility we have as a shop that deals with fur.
If you have more questions about our pillows or if you are in doubt about which pillow is the right one for you, feel free to contact us. We are always happy to talk about fur and to help you finding the pillow you will have a good feeling with for a long time.
